On Earth Day, it’s easy to get carried away with how exciting it is to be building and planting beautiful, organic Good Food Gardens.

I tend to be a renegade gardener—with good intentions of
course. I till the soil and mark out each section of the soil with plans of
planting one seed at a time in tidy little rows. In the end, I usually wind up “seasoning” the whole area with tiny seeds like sprinkling salt on a T-bone,
wrecking havoc on my landscaping.

Good Food Gardens at the Good Green Expo! Food Network and Share Our Strength® are at it again, and will feature a Good Food Garden on the show floor of the Go Green Expo this weekend. This trade show for everything green will help us showcase Good Food Gardens and why fresh food is so important for our kids!

Around here, we are all about Good Food--healthy, sustainable, nutritious food that helps children grow and thrive. That's the premise behind the Good Food Gardens, and Good Food Fun. But in order to reach all of the 12 million children who are at risk for hunger in America, we need a lot of help from you. That's why I'm enlisting you, our Good Food Garden fans, as GOOD FOOD AMBASSADORS---leaders in educating and inspiring others to win the fight against childhood hunger and malnutrition.

Today was a banner day in our partnership with Share Our Strength – we opened our second Good Food Garden and we got to share it with hundres of famlies at the South Beach Food and Wine Festival!  Built on site at the Fun & Fit as a Family event, the Garden was met with incredible enthusiasm--the kind of enthusiasm that encouraged every visitor to reach in and touch, smell, and taste with reckless abandon.
